Distance: 30 miles
Climbing: 85 feet per mile

​Description: This is a pleasant ride in varied terrain. Very early in the route there is a short steep descent at mile 1.5 on Jones Mill Rd and then at mile 1.9 a steep climb. Look for the Monastery at mile 17.5 on Clark Rd, home of the “Cheese Nuns”.  At mile 23.3 there is a 1.2 mile climb on Tilman Rd. (paved). Also paved at mile 28.3 there is a steep descent on Gillums Ridge Rd that ends at US-250; use caution.

Due to construction at the intersection of U.S. 250 (Rockfish Gap Turnpike), Route 240 (Three Notched Road) and Route 680 (Browns Gap Turnpike), this route should not be used. VDOT anticipates completion of this work some time in December 2025.
