Don’t miss important info from CBC!  Some members have reported not seeing emails reminding them that their memberships are up for annual renewal (renewal notices start going out 4 weeks before your expiration date).  We’ve also heard that certain emails are going to spam folders, or in the case of Gmail users, the “Promotions” folder.

Please review the following tips to make sure club emails show up in your inbox. 

Some reasons emails will be marked as spam:

•  Email is sent from an address that is not in your contacts.
•  Emails with purchase details or promotional links are likely to be flagged.
•  Emails from unknown addresses.
• When an email address has been marked spam by others.

How to prevent emails from going into your spam folder:

• In your spam folder, if you see any emails from <anyone>@charlottesvillebicycleclub.org, mark them as “not spam”.
• After selecting “Not spam”, the email should move into your inbox, and subsequent emails from the sender(s) should go directly into your inbox.
• Save the sender’s email address to your Contacts.  Your email client then should cease to mark emails from this contact as spam and send them directly to your inbox.
• Save With Gmail, you can also create a “filter” to make sure all CBC emails are delivered to your inbox instead of “Promotions”.  Sitll have questions?  Give us a shout!

That may be the best part… Casual riders Caroline and Karen will host a conversation on Thursday, February 16 at 7pm to discuss bike trips they have done or would like to do. Save the date – Sunday, February 19 at 5 PM.  Join us for our first winter potluck at the Baldwin Center at 5005 Edge Valley Rd, North Garden.  Bring your partner, and a favorite dish to share.  We will provide beer, wine and water.  Be on the lookout for a separate email asking for your RSVP.
