News Highlights:

July Summer Picnic Recap – Almost 50 CBC members came out to Dyke, Virginia for the club’s third annual summer picnic that was held on Saturday, July 13.  A good time was had by all when riding one of the three route options, socializing after the ride, and enjoying the lunch provided by Maybelle’s Market under their shaded pavilion.  It was great to see both old and new faces out there.

Ride/Lunch at Maybelle’s – Speaking of Maybelle’s, come ride the beautiful roads of Greene County and stick around for post-ride lunch on Thursday, August 22 at Maybelle’s Market in Dyke, VA.  Two ride distances will be offered.  Check the calendar for details.

Bridge Still Out – The highly used bridge on Boonesville Road (at Simmons Gap Road) in northern Albemarle County is still scheduled to be closed until August 20.  No temporary pedestrian or cyclist bridge has been installed.

Extra jerseys available – If you missed out on our latest jersey sale this spring, or you joined the club after our jersey sale, we have the following extra short sleeved jerseys available for purchase: classic women’s medium (2), classic men’s large (1).  Jerseys cost $65 and can be paid for electronically, or with check or cash.  Please contact us if you would like to buy or try on a jersey.
