Description: This modestly hilly ride covers much of the Earlysville area. The medium and long routes include a nice climb up Bacon Hollow, which is famous for its moonshine operations during the Prohibition era (a local winery produces a wine called Bacon Hollow Revenuers’ Select White).

Alerts:  The out and back section on the medium and long routes up Bacon Hollow Road (mile 15 to 21) is well-known for dogs that sometimes get out in the road. Stay alert.
