DESCRIPTION:This ride is another beautiful ride through the open farmland of the central Shenandoah Valley.  The short and medium rides mirror the club’s New Hope rides except for a deviation to ride on Calf Mountain Road.  The deviation begins in the first mile of the ride\, and adds 6 miles\, but does not change the feet per mile of climbing.  The long ride adds another deviation that crosses the Middle River twice before making it back to New Hope. \nStores: New Hope – mile 22 (short) (may be closed on Sundays) \nRoute page: Calf Mountain \nClick on the images below for the RWGPS pages. \n  \n* Members please indicate you will attend by signing up below.  Be sure to have the route on your phone or bike computer\, and/or have a map or cue sheet.  Also\, please check the ride comments the day of the ride if the weather is iffy.

SUMMARY:New Hope (28\, D\, MH) No Drop Leader Led ride
DESCRIPTION:This route is a shorter variation of the Grottoes – Port Republic route.  The longer version makes it as far north as Grottoes.  This is also a beautiful ride through the open farmland of the central Shenandoah Valley.  It runs mostly north and south and therefore is fairly flat. It starts with a climb but the rest of the ride is pretty mellow. If you are new to group riding or new to the club this is a great ride for you to get the hang of it.
