SUMMARY:Shenandoah Valley - Goshen Pass (59\, A / B\, MH)
DESCRIPTION:A great combination of open and shaded roads with stunning views and one major climb\, this ride takes you through the Shenandoah Valley south and west of Greenville\, VA. The route is the same as the southern section of the Tour de Valley ride held yearly on Labor Day weekend. The far end includes a 4 mile out-and-back along the Maury River Valley up the gentle grade of Goshen Pass.​​ On the way back is the 3 mile\, moderately steep climb up Raphine Hill before returning to Greenville. Take plenty of supplies; there are no stores along the route\, although water is available at the Bethesda Presbyterian Church at mile 36 (ask at the office). \nStores: None. \nAlerts: The start location of this ride has changed as of February 2023. \nRoute page: Shenandoah Valley – Goshen Pass \nClick on the image below for the RWGPS page. \n \n* Members please indicate you will attend by signing up below.  Be sure to have the route on your phone or bike computer\, and/or have a map or cue sheet.  Also\, please check the ride comments the day of the ride if the weather is iffy.
