SUMMARY:Afton - Sherando - Waynesboro (57\, A / B\, H)
DESCRIPTION:This challenging\, highly scenic ride includes a modest climb immediately after the start\, then a long climb up to Afton village and on to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Parkway climbs for much of the next 10 miles to Raven’s Roost (be sure to stop for the view) and continues on to Love Gap. It then descends into the Shenandoah Valley to Sherando and on into Waynesboro. A moderately long climb takes you back to the Parkway\, then the route heads back down through Afton village and back to the start. \nStores: Mile 24 (Love Gap; on the left at the beginning of the descent); mile 30 approx. (Sherando) \nAlerts:\n1. 1.3 mile stretch on US 250 from Afton village at mile 7 up to the Parkway has moderate\, fast traffic.\n2. SUMMARY:White Hall - Owensville - Crozet (30\, C\, MH)
DESCRIPTION:This is a moderately hilly route in the Crozet region\, passing orchards and vineyards to White Hall\, and then heading to Ownesville.
