SUMMARY:Ride and COFFEE - Crozet - Batesville (28 / 33\, B / C\, H)

The long route goes through the Yogaville Satchidananda Ashram with its striking domed shrine. DESCRIPTION:This modestly hilly ride covers much of the Earlysville area. The medium and long routes include a nice climb up Bacon Hollow\, which is famous for its moonshine operations during the Prohibition era (a local winery produces a wine called Bacon Hollow Revenuers’ Select White). \nStores: Mile 16 / 25 (Dyke) \nAlerts:  The out and back section on the medium (35 mile) route up Bacon Hollow Road (mile 15 ) is well-known for dogs that sometimes get out in the road. SUMMARY:Barboursville – Little Skyline (40 / 46\, A / B\, H / MH)
DESCRIPTION:This route loops north and east through western Orange County\, then crosses the Rapidan river into southern Madison County. Heading north and east again\, it crosses the Rapidan river a second time\, climbs up and over Little Skyline Drive\, and returns past Montpelier (the home of James and Dolly Madison).
