SUMMARY:Shenandoah Valley - Goshen Pass (59\, A / B\, MH)
DESCRIPTION:A great combination of open and shaded roads with stunning views and one major climb\, this ride takes you through the Shenandoah Valley south and west of Greenville\, VA. The route is the same as the southern section of the Tour de Valley ride held yearly on Labor Day weekend. DESCRIPTION:One of the great favorites in the region\, this ride covers northern Madison County and extends into Culpeper County. There are exceptional views of the rolling countryside and the mountains; a three-quarter mile steep climb at mile 13 and the descent into Etlan present views of Old Rag Mountain from several angles. \nAs an optional out-and-back\, turn left at Etlan Rd. (mile 13.0) and head up a beautiful\, shady valley for 4.5 miles to where the state road ends at the entrance to the Shenandoah National Park (the last 0.8 miles is quite steep). SUMMARY:Humpback Rocks Out and Back (38\, A / B\, VH)

SUMMARY:Humpback Rocks - Vesuvius (60\, A / B\, VH)
DESCRIPTION:This is a stunning and quite challenging ride. Starting at the Humpback Rocks Visitors Center at milepost 6 on the Blue Ridge Parkway\, the route heads south on the Parkway\, climbs up to the Raven’s Roost overlook\, then descends from Reed’s Gap down to the Shenandoah Valley at Sherando. A long loop along the borders of a section of the George Washington National Forest takes you to the town of Vesuvius and to a 2.5 mile\, very steep climb back up to the Parkway and north to the starting point. It then descends into the Shenandoah Valley to Sherando and on into Waynesboro.
