SUMMARY:Humpback Rocks - Vesuvius (60\, A / B\, VH)
DESCRIPTION:This is a stunning and quite challenging ride. Starting at the Humpback Rocks Visitors Center at milepost 6 on the Blue Ridge Parkway\, the route heads south on the Parkway\, climbs up to the Raven’s Roost overlook\, then descends from Reed’s Gap down to the Shenandoah Valley at Sherando. A long loop along the borders of a section of the George Washington National Forest takes you to the town of Vesuvius and to a 2.5 mile\, very steep climb back up to the Parkway and north to the starting point. Worth every bit of the considerable effort involved. \nStores: Mile 13 (Sherando); mile 33.5 (Vesuvius) \nAlerts:\n1. SUMMARY:Humpback Rocks Out and Back (38\, A / B\, VH)

SUMMARY:Batesville – Taylor Creek – Ennis Mtn (29 / 40\, A / B\, H)
DESCRIPTION:From the Crossroads Store\, this moderately hilly ride heads northwest to Batesville then southwest on Craigs Store Road. The next stretch is an out-and-back along Taylor Creek for 5 miles to the scenic town of Heards. SUMMARY:Fontaine Rider’s Choice (34 / 39 /47\, A / B\, MH / H / H)
DESCRIPTION:These three routes start together from the Fontaine Research Park\, leave town on Old Lynchburg Road\, and stay together for the first 18 miles. The short route returns fairly directly via Old Lynchburg Road back to Fontaine.
